When you’re thirsty, do you reach for a glass of water or a soda? Need a snack – is it chips or an apple? Dinner? Greasy drive-thru or salmon? Drive a few blocks or walk? Every time we choose the easy way out, we dim our focus on our ultimate vision of better health. While enjoying things that might not be pristine for our health can be a special treat, the majority of our health behaviors – at least 80% of them – should be toward increasing our wellness. Even with that lofty number, we’d still only be ‘80% healthy’. If you’re aiming to be the healthiest you can be – ‘100% healthy’ – make a conscious effort to continuously make positive wellness choices in everything you do.
