South Carolina’s Ginkgo Leaves
When most people think of Ginkgo Biloba leaves and their amazing health benefits, they think of them growing on sacred trees in the lush forests of Asia. Amazingly, South Carolina is home to the largest Ginkgo Biloba plantation in the world – more than 12 million trees growing on 1,200 acres. Ginkgo has been shown to improve brain function and memory, along with helping protect from dementia and other brain conditions.
Try this stimulating tea – hot or iced – made from Ginkgo Leaves:
1 tsp ginkgo leaf
1 cup water
1 slice lemon
1 tsp honey
Bring water to a boil. Tear leaves into pieces. Drop leaves in a mug. Fill with hot water. Steep 5 minutes. Add lemon and honey. Drink hot or chill in refrigerator.
