Parents and grandparents tusting with wine in a dinner

It’s finally here – Thanksgiving! A day of feasting and football. A day of relaxation and revelry. A day of family and friends. Our nation’s special day to collectively be grateful.

By the time we hit the hay, we’re full of wonderful things – favorite foods and great memories. Stuffed to the gills. Just like the proverbial cornucopia that has come to represent this most treasured of holidays.

But instead of pumpkins and pears or gourds and grapes, envision your own overflowing cornucopia. Think about what you’re grateful for. If nothing readily comes to mind, here are a few points to get you started:

  • Think about your wellness – are you feeling healthier than last year.
  • Think about your family and friends – is everyone safe and thriving.
  • Think about your home – do you feel secure when you drift off to sleep.

No matter what you’re thankful for – whatever’s in your personal cornucopia – take a moment to reflect and cherish. Then have yourself another slice of pumpkin pie. After all, it is Thanksgiving.
